Ready to Become a Disruptor?
Disruption is the new black. Consumer preferences have always affected how companies did business, but technology has added a whole new dimension to this. Brick and mortar shops are being replaced by e-commerce sites, businesses are talking directly to their consumers in lieu of traditional media, and media outlets are also being forced adapt to this brave new world.
Our July speaker, Rembrandt Flores will discuss how his company, Entertainment Fusion Group (EFG), has helped their clients become disruptors (including Tinder, Casper, More Beauty Skincare, Away Luggage, Art of Elysium, Neon Carnival, Ubisoft, Wanderlust and Deleon Tequila) in order to successfully target influencers, micro-influencers and consumers through online and social media outlets.
“Most of our brands are disruptors in their own space,” he shares. “We all need to know how to become disruptors so we can help them achieve their goals.”
Flores co-founded EFG in Los Angeles in 2002, and had a New York office but was eventually sold to Rogers & Cowan NYC. EFG is a pioneer in the celebrity micro-endorsement space and specializes in experiential marketing, influencer marketing, sponsorships and partnerships, crisis communications, talent procurement, product launches and integration and event production and management. He also co-founded ad.ly, a company for online social media celebrity micro-endorsements.
Flores has produced parties for celebrities including Justin Bieber, Usher, Lauren Conrad, Kim Kardashian, Chace Crawford and Matthew Morrison. He has coordinated events for The Coachella Music Festival, The Grammys, The Sundance Film Festival and The Oscars. According to Forbes Magazine, Flores is “responsible for some of the biggest events in gaming and entertainment” with clients including Maxim, Capcom, Ubisoft, IGN, Electronic Arts, and Playboy. He has also handled events for Fox Television, EMI, Oakley, Inc., Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and LG Mobile.
Flores is also a proponent for My Hope for Children, a non-profit organization geared towards providing relief and assistance to Filipino children. Since 2013, he has helped with Generosity.org, a charity that helps provide clean water to those who would normally not have access to it. He is also on the advisory board for Unlikely Heroes, which provides safe homes and restoration for women and child victims of human trafficking.
In order to accommodate Rembrandt’s (and the airline’s) schedule, we’ll need to start his presentation promptly at 11:50. Please arrive on time so you can be seated in time. Thank you.
